Mary Charles Lee Morris

Mary Charles Lee Morris entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 27, 2026. Born on April 30, 1934, in Plattsburg, Mississippi, she was the beloved daughter of Louie Lonzo Lee and Gracie Gertrude Barnes Lee. Mary was preceded in death by her devoted husband E. Wade Morris, her brother Bobby Lee, and her sister Johnnie Sue Lee Martindale. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, her children, Gaylon D. Morris, Pamela Morris Bogen and her husband Al Bogen, and Mary Grace Morris Orsulak. She was a proud grandmother to Lindsay Bogen, Channing Morris and his wife Judith Morris, Fletcher Morris, MK Orsulak Rahders and her wife Sonya, and a step-grandson, Chris Bogen and his wife Lacie. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Kiersten Morris and Parker Morris along with three step-grandchildren, Melody Bogen, Rex Bogen, and Amos Bogen. They brought her great joy. Mary was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Madison, Mississippi. She was a devoted Master Gardner whose love of flowers and nature reflected her appreciation for God’s creations. She generously shared her talents as a volunteer florist for the gift shop at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, brightening the days of countless patients and visitors. Professionally, Mary served for many years as the executive assistant to W. E. Walker. She was respected for her dedication, professionalism and unwavering commitment to excellence. Above all, Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend. Her kindness, grace and servants’ heart touched all who knew her. Her legacy of faith, love, and compassion will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come. Though she will be deeply missed her family rejoices in the promise of eternal life and the assurance that she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Miss Zhinga Bowens, whose loving care, compassion and devotion brought comfort and dignity to Mary during her final days. We are also especially thankful to Mr. Benjamin Pyle for lovingly “driving Miss Daisy” and for the kindness and support he showed her in so many ways. The family also wishes to express sincere appreciation to the caregivers and staff at CenterWell Home Health and AccentCare for their professional care and support. The family is deeply grateful to all friends, cousins, and nieces who helped care for Mary and supported her with dignity, respect, and love. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 6 in the Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Cliff Hardin officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow the service in Mars Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Gaylon Morris, Channing Morris, Fletcher Morris, Al Bogen, Chris Bogen, and Benjamin Pyle. In lieu of flowers, Mary respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice in honor of her, Mary Charles Lee Morris. Services are under the direction of Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, MS.
